October 10 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

“Pivotal Art Movements of Kensington Market: CEAC and ChromaZone”
October 10, 2024, 6:30pm, Paul Cadario Conference Centre, University College, 15 King’s College Circle.
Kensington Market Historical Society and Koffler Arts are proud to co-present talks by distinguished artists Bruce Eves and Andy Fabo. Eves was an integral member of CEAC, the Centre for Experimental Art and Communication (1976–1978), which had its roots in the Kensington Art Association (1973–1978). Fabo was one of six emerging Canadian artists who created and exhibited in Toronto as ChromaZone/ Chromatique Collective (1981–1985), also situated in Kensington Market. Both speakers will discuss their personal involvement in CEAC and ChromaZone, and will highlight the significant and lasting contributions of these artist-run collectives in Toronto’s contemporary art scene.
